*The Internet is changing everyday. From what I have experienced in 2008, article marketing is no longer as effective as it used to be. Do article submission for the main purpose of getting anchored links and ranking in search engine for organic traffic.*

One of the best ways to generate free traffic is using articles. Almost every internet marketer will tell you that. There are many tools on the market that will help you pump out 100s of articles instantly and submit them to article directories.

The problem with the generated articles is that they are not really unique to the human reader. Article directories like Ezinearticles.com will reject your article. If you need to submit your articles, make sure the sentences flow and is human readable.

There are two steps to article submission. The first step is to write. The second step is to submit to article directories.

As a warning, do not submit your articles to 100 directories in one day. If you plan to submit to 100 directories, design a 30-60 days submission plan. You will submit your articles to 2-3 directories per day.

Another problem is indexing of your articles. If you are submitting the same articles to all the directories, will the search engine index all of them? The answer is yes and no. I have seen search engines indexing all articles and de-indexing them after a few weeks. The search engines will choose which articles to index.

So what is the solution? I usually rephrase the same article for different directories. In another words, I’m trying to fool the search engines that they are different content. It will take a longer time for the search engines to figure out they are the same content.

Do not use the same article that you have submitted to the directories as content for your website. The search engines might punish you by accusing you of having duplicate contents on your website.
